Smoky Mountain Springfest - June 1 - June 8: Three month city wide celebration featuring artistic displays of blooming flowers, arts and craft demonstrations, special sales, and live entertainment.

3rd Annual Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales - June 13 - August 31: Sidewalks of downtown. Live entertainment mini-performances featuring costumed musical performers, storytellers and artisans portraying various time periods from the 1800s to today. 6 p.m. nightly. A horse-drawn wagon carries the performers down the Parkway to their designated locations for the evening. Fourteen nightly acts involve the audience as they each perform in simultaneous 15-minute performances.

July 2008
 
33rd Annual Fourth of July Midnight Parade - July 3: Giant helium balloons, more than 100 float entries and family fun! National entries such as Schwan Foods and Red Baron Pizza will bring in their Blaine Kern-designed floats.

River Raft Regatta - July 4: River Road, ending at the Aquarium bridge in downtown Gatlinburg. Unmanned river raft race is open to anything floatable except balls and plastic eggs. Registration takes place between 11 am and Noon, with the race beginning promptly at Noon.

"Stand Here" Fourth of July Fireworks Show - July 4: Speaks for itself.

Gatlinburg's Craftsmen Fair - July 18 - July 27: Over 200 booths featuring some of the nation's finest work. Artisans on hand to demonstrate their skills, answer questions, and offer their unique art for sale. Live bluegrass and country music. 865-436-7479.
