Gatlinburg TN always has something to do. Even in the month of
March. The Smoky Mountains are becoming more popular for the Spring
Break travelers. The weather is warmer than it was in the winter
months but still cool enough that you may want to bring a light
jacket. The weather can be warm one day and chilly the next.
One of the main things going on in Gatlinburg Tennessee starting in
March is Gatlinburg's Springfest. The small town is alive with
color. Trees are getting the green color back, flowers are blooming
and plants are growing. The streets will be alive with colorful
flowers. Baskets will be hanging with all types of plants and
flowers. Some of the flowers you can expect to see are pansies,
daffodils, tulips, petunias, lantanas, etc. Springfest isn’t all
about the flowers though. There will be entertainment going on all
down the parkway in downtown Gatlinburg TN. See singers and actors
performing for you as you stroll through the streets downtown.
Did you think Santa only visited in December? Guess again. A weekend
in March is dedicated to Santa, Mrs. Clause, elves and reindeers.
That’s right. All the Santa’s gather together in Gatlinburg for some
rest and relaxation and friendship. There will be a Santa parade
too. Stand along the sidewalks to cheer for the gift givers who have
symbolized who Santa is.
Since it’s warmer outside in March more outdoor activities are
available for the tourist to try out. Horseback riding, walking
trails, rafting, ATV riding, tubing and many other outdoorsy
activities open back up. If you still want to hit the ski slopes on
your March vacation you can. Ober Gatlinburg will still have the
slopes open and will have the “fake” snow for you to test your
skiing skills out on. Another activity that people are becoming more
attracted to is Zorb. Zorb is a huge ball that 1-3 people can fit
inside of. You can do a dry Zorb or a wet Zorb. The choice is yours.
Start off at the top of the hill, get inside your ball and be pushed
downhill. Many memories, laughter and photos await you on your March
vacation to Gatlinburg TN.
If having Spring Fever isn’t on your agenda this March be sure you
visit Gatlinburg TN. March isn’t just about the outdoor activities
that become available. Dollywood is open for you to take the
children to for a day’s worth of fun. The Ripley’s attractions are
still open and welcoming the Spring weather too. Don’t sit at home
bored this Spring Break.
Gatlinburg Tennessee welcomes everyone with the friendly locals
and beautiful colors of the Smoky Mountains.
