Cabin Rental Locations in
Gatlinburg TN
Gatlinburg TN isn't a big city but
it does have thousands of rental properties to choose and reserve.
If you spent all your time looking through cabin after cabin you'll
feel yourself starting to go a little crazy. Save yourself the
stress and come up with a list of things you want in a cabin. One of
the important things to consider when choosing a cabin is location.
The easiest way to figure out where a cabin is located is to call
the rental company and ask. The reservationist should be able to
point you in the right direction.
Ski Mountain is at traffic light #10. This area contains the
Chalet Village, Ober Gatlinburg and Ski Mountain cabins. If you want
mountain views this is the area you need to ask for. The higher up
the mountain you go the better your view is. Of course, you don't
have to be at the top to have a great view because any view of the
Smokey Mountains is a beautiful site. Chalet Village is a cabin
community that has a lot of cabins. Cabin owners pay membership and
guests have access to clubhouses with pools (summer use only),
tennis courts, playgrounds, etc. Ober Gatlinburg is a ski resort on
Ski Mountain. It has a mall, an indoor skating rink, an amusement
park and ski slopes. To get to Ober Gatlinburg you'll need to ride
the Aerial Tramway. The cabins on Ski Mountain range in distance to
downtown Gatlinburg. The roads going to the cabin are steep and
curvy and four wheel drive may be required to get to some cabins in
the winter months. If you want a great mountain view this is the
area for you.
If you want to be close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge the area
called the Spur would be ideal for you. The Spur is approximately a
5 mile stretch in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cabins in
this area can be the same distance from one town as it is from the
other. Cabins in this area can be hard to get to if the roads become
icy or if it snows. Some are located up curvy roads but have great
views of the surrounding mountains from the decks. Not all cabins in
the Spur will require a four wheel drive though. There are cabins
that aren't that far from the main road that will take you to
Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The advantage of staying in this
location is quicker access to the things both Gatlinburg and Pigeon
Forge offer.
Pittman Center and Roarking Forks areas are where many of the
outdoor activities can be enjoyed. If you're coming to go biking,
kayaking, tubing, horseback riding, etc. then this area would be the
best choice for your stay. Many of the cabins don't have great
mountain views and are on wooded lots. They are not high up on the
mountain and centrally located to downtown Gatlinburg. There are
some cabins with mountain views but not as great as the cabins that
are on Ski Mountain.
There are
Gatlinburg cabins that are within
walking distance to downtown. Those cabins are often on side streets
that you can access from the Parkway in downtown. Since these cabins
are close to downtown Gatlinburg oftentimes they will not have a
mountain view. Walking distance is considered to be less than one
mile. Although, not all cabins that are less than one mile to
Gatlinburg are actually walking distance. Some roads going to the
cabins may have sharp curves or steep hills. Baskins Creek Area is
also close to downtown Gatlinburg. The cabins in Baskins Creek are
just a short drive to downtown and some are walking distance to
trolley stops. If you want quick access to downtown Gatlinburg then
be sure you ask for walking distance or Baskins Creek area.
No matter where you stay we know you'll enjoy your vacation to
Gatlinburg. The area is beautiful no matter the season and each
month offers something new to do or see. Memories await you in the
Smokey Mountains. Call and reserve your cabin today.
