Dog Activities and Ideas For Gatlinburg TN
Your dog is an important part of your family and leaving him at home
hardly seems fair. There are some accommodations and cabins in
Gatlinburg that allow you to bring your pets along with you on
vacation. You might not want to leave your dog cooped up in the
cabin all day long while you go out in town. The good news is that
you don't have to! There are some places in Gatlinburg that welcome
your canine companion so that he can enjoy his Gatlinburg vacation
too.
The Smoky Mountain National Park is great for hiking, sight
seeing and exploring the outdoors. Your dog will love sniffing the
trees and flowers and exploring right along with you. The National
Park has over 800 miles of trails that are open to the public ,
however, only 2 allow your pet to join. They are Oconaluftee River
Trail and the Gatlinburg Trail. Be sure to keep them on a leash
though. You wouldn't want your beloved pet running off after a
squirrel. Also be courteous and clean up after your pet. Plan a day
when you can visit the Park, your dog will love you for it.
Also, downtown
Gatlinburg TN is great for friendly
dogs. Like most individuals who visit Gatlinburg Tennessee, I am
sure dogs would love a peaceful stroll through the exciting city.
Although, fall and spring would be the best season for a dog walk on
the Gatlinburg Strip, they would probably enjoy Winter and Summer
depending on temperatures. Please be respectful of others while
having your dog with you.
Although, Dollywood is in Pigeon Forge, it is worth mentioning
Dollywood’s pet options. Sadly, dogs are not allowed in the park,
but Dollywood does offers something to the furry companions of it’s
visitors. Operating for guests who need to pamper their dogs,
Doggywood is here to help. It is a climate controlled kennel for
dogs while their owners enjoy the park. Reservations are encouraged
because space is limited. For more information call 865-428-9826.
Relaxing with your dog at the cabin might be a no brainer, but it is
still worth mentioning. Most visitors to Gatlinburg spend a lot of time
in town enjoying the local attractions. While this is not a bad thing,
more visitors should relax at the cabin with their furry friend.
Spending quality time during the day might not be something your do
is accustomed to because of your work schedule.
Owners should feel more at peace about bringing their dogs with them
to Gatlinburg. Now guests visiting Gatlinburg can plan activities
that include their furry friends.
