Hayrides in Gatlinburg TN

Remember those hayrides you enjoyed so much as a youngster? Gatlinburg TN brings that memory back to life with Old Fashion Hayrides starting up again. Old Fashion Hayrides start September 1 and end on December 30, 2007. It’s an old classic favorite loved by ALL ages. Not only is it fun entertainment but the proceeds help to benefit the United Way. Have fun and help out the United Way. The ride goes through downtown Gatlinburg TN. While enjoying the ride enjoy the views of the Gatlinburg Winter Magic displays and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Take this ride more than once to see how truly amazing the different views of fall and winter have to offer. The Old Fashion Hayrides start at traffic light #6 in Gatlinburg at the Mountain Mall (you can go shopping while you wait or after your ride!). It is open from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday. Gatlinburg TN - Fishing License

Fishing is a popular activity for many visitors in Gatlinburg TN. However, many people do not know that a fishing license is required for residents and non residents coming to Gatlinburg TN and even all of Tennessee age 13 and older. Any person under the age of 13 in entitled to the same limits as adults and must obey all other rules. For non-residents of Tennessee, the 3-day fishing permit is $10.50 and a daily permit for Gatlinburg TN $10.50. You can also get a combined permit for Gatlinburg and the National Park for $20.50. Fishing in Gatlinburg is permitted from half an hour before sunrise and half an hour after sunset. After you have purchased your Gatlinburg fishing permit you are allowed to fish the following rivers: the West Prong of the Little Pigeon River, LeConte Creek, Roaring Fork Creek and Dudley Creek. You can also obtain a fishing license in the mail. If you’re already in town and want to know where to get a fishing license these locations are perfect in Pigeon Forge: Pigeon Forge Hardware, Rocky Top Outfitters, J&B Market. In Gatlinburg these places are great: Gatlinburg City Hall, Ace Hardware of Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain Angler. If you’re in Sevierville the perfect places to go are: K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Seymour Bait and Tackle, and Wishing I Was Fishin’. With so many ways and opportunities you can’t forget to obtain a fishing license. I hear the tickets can be very expensive, so it would be easier to get a lincense.
