Tennessee Winter Special Olympics

The 2009 Winter Special Olympics will be held on top of the snowcapped mountains at Ober Gatlinburg. The opening ceremonies for the Winter Special Olympics in Gatlinburg Tennessee will be held on Sunday, January 25. The fun begins there and does not stop until January 28. All event competitions will be fun and exciting and everyone will enjoy a great time together at Ober Gatlinburg. The Special Olympics movement got its start on July 20, 1968 at Solider Field in Chicago, Illinois. Ever since the start of the Special Olympics Tennessee has been registered as a non-profit organization that has been proudly serving Tennessee.
